Today, the Ocean Warrior Society fights for the future of all life on Planet Ocean.
Connected to the past. Fighting for the future.
Throughout history, Warrior Societies have fought for the futures of their peoples. We know them by many names, among them: Spartans, Cheyenne and Sioux, Samurai, Vikings, Zulu, and, of course, the Maori. For them, the threats were real and oftentimes existential. Thankfully, for most, their people survived and are an important part of our modern, human tapestry.
Today, the Ocean Warrior Society fights for the future of all life on Planet Ocean. Like these historical Warrior Societies, OWS will fight fiercely to protect and preserve that which we value and care most about – the ocean, its ecosystems, its wildlife, and thereby all life on our planet for all generations to come.
Here's our take
The ocean is the source of all life on our planet, and it continues to be the life support system for all life on our planet.
- The threats to the ocean and ocean wildlife are unprecedented and existential.
- Record year-over-year warming.
- Record year-over-year acidification.
- Record number and total area of dead zones (deoxygenation)
- Record accumulated plastic pollution (20% from commercial fishing gear).
- Overfishing and illegal fishing/poaching/trafficking at all-time highs.
- Currently, only 3% of the ocean is fully or highly protected.
- The United Nations has declared 2021 – 2030 as The Ocean Decade.
- And the world is coming together through The High Seas Treaty to protect 30% of the ocean by 2030 but with no plan to adequately protect what will be more than 30 million square miles of newly-formed Marine Protected Areas.
- To help protect and preserve ocean wildlife and ecosystems from the destructive war being waged around the world by poachers and traffickers, a new, well-funded, global ocean conservation initiative is needed.
To Protect ocean ecosystems, Prosecute ocean wildlife poachers and traffickers, and Preserve the rich biodiversity and life-sustaining capacity of Planet Ocean for all generations to come.
Successfully launch and develop the largest ocean conservation initiative ever – a global nonprofit organization focused solely on protecting and preserving the ocean by ending the commercialized poaching of ocean wildlife via direct-action campaigns with a large fleet of ships, investigating, exposing, and assisting with the arrests and prosecutions of all entities, especially criminal networks, involved with the poaching and/or illegal trafficking of ocean wildlife, and producing hard-hitting, high-profile media products and/or events to educate the public on the most critical issues negatively impacting and threatening ocean ecosystems and biodiversity.

Research
While not a primary focus, the Ocean Warrior Society will do all that it can to fully support and facilitate scientific research by welcoming researchers to join our Direct-Action/Intervention/Enforcement Campaigns around the world.
Cooperation & Collaboration
Our general strategy will be one of cooperation and collaboration, whether it be with the United Nations, INTERPOL, governmental authorities, or other NGOs, but we will never compromise on our core beliefs or values.
Moral, Legal and Ethical Action
While oftentimes done fiercely and/or forcefully (aggressively nonviolent), all OWS actions taken will be moral, legal, and ethical.

SEMESTER SAVING THE SEA℠
A special, three-month educational experience
on the frontlines of ocean conservation for current
and prospective college students.
OPERATION OCEAN DEFENDER℠
A unique opportunity for Navy and Coast Guard Veterans and retired Law Enforcement Officers to apply their valuable training, knowledge, and experience while serving an increasingly important and noble cause.

- Poachers and Traffickers, including Transnational Criminal Organizations and corrupt Government Agencies, have declared war on the ocean and ocean wildlife.
- This destructive reality and existential threat compels the Ocean Warrior Society to take the lead as the Tip of the Trident in a Global War on Poaching.
